Installation Amadea Technologies P4 pixel LED screen at Betcenter Kiekenmarkt in Brussels.
On January 18, 2018, our team was commissioned by Betcenter to take the first steps in the partnership with the delivery, installation and commissioning of the first LED screen for Betcenter for the Kiekenmarkt branch in Brussels.
The original request from Betcenter was to create a projection display that would help Betcenter at this location to tell what is going on within generally the branches of Betcenter as well as display the various local and national promotions in an appropriate, eye-catching and distinctive way.
Together with Amadea Technologies we searched within the possibilities and also the wishes of Betcenter to deploy the right techniques of display to suit the building and surroundings but also looked at the form of content and quality of the image.
Projection with projectors and projection foil or projection plates is in many cases the first issue customers see as a solution, according to Michel Drion of Amadea Technologies, but unfortunately not always effective to apply.
Often, (potential) clients do not consider the effect of daylight on the quality and brightness of renderings created in this way. It is a waste of money to invest in a solution that does not display well because of sunlight, reflection of sunlight or floodlight and does not achieve the same light output as other techniques such as pixel LED or other high brightness LCD screens.
A lot of demand lately is also for transparent projection against glass solutions, here it is certainly crucial to inform customers very well what the advantages and disadvantages are, in daylight transparent display up to 85% transparency is certainly possible with our transparent pixelled solutions. In other cases we can serve customers with the "authentic" LED solutions in both standard and custom versions.
After the first inventory, in consultation with Mr. Beelen of Betcenter, it was decided to choose a P4 high brightness pixel led screen which is composed of so-called "Rental" parts of 512 x 512 mm to also ensure possibilities to use the screen at other locations and during events but also to be able to expand within this establishment.
All in all, a beautiful and successful installation resulting in a razor sharp detailed image and most importantly a striking Betcenter location within a pleasant busy street of the city of Brussels.
